Kangaroo Point Bridge
The pedestrian cable-stayed bridge crosses the Brisbane River, connecting the CBD Botanic Gardens to Kangaroo Point. The bridge has become an integral part of Brisbane's new skyline and one of the city's distinctive landmarks. The aim of the project is to significantly reduce the impact of vehicular traffic in the city centre by promoting green mobility between two of the city's most popular areas. The entire bridge deck is supported by the Tensacciai stay cable system, a state-of-the-art solution designed for a service life of 100 years and equipped with viscous dampers that efficiently absorb wind-induced vibrations.
